Our Client, a leader in the FMCG Industry is looking for a Marketing Manager to provide  planning and leadership to the Marketing Department by developing appropriate structures, systems, competencies and values in order to meet and exceed the set objectives.

Must be Gujarati or Hindi speaking******based in Kenya

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Directing the operations of the Marketing department on a day to day function and responsible for all company sales and distribution activities
  • Advising the Board of Directors on the expansion programs and infrastructure requirements for product range in Export markets
  • Ensuring strong growth in sales and market share for company products
  • Directing day to day operations of the departments through line Managers regarding issues related to sales, marketing, production, purchase, customer requirements and quality of products
  • Representing the company at the meetings and in seminars at international exhibitions and conferences and in liaison and negotiation with Government departments, Non-Governmental organizations e.g. International Committee of the Red Cross, World Food Programme and with other country’s representatives to formulate business alliances and sales marketing initiatives
  • Reporting on a daily basis to the CEO and also discussing any issues relating to the  Marketing Department.
  •  Also following up marketing/sales trends and react to it where necessary on a regular basis
  • Communicating on a daily basis with agents based in neighboring countries
  • Delegating of duties to the subordinate managers, and ensuring company policies, objectives, sales targets and developing team work in the best interest of the company
  • Ensuring the sales targets set by the company are achieved and determining what steps to adopt in various countries to increase market share
  • Preparing or assisting in preparing sales budgets/targets and reports in Sales achieved and presenting them to the management review meetings held every quarterly.
  • Finalizing company’s final accounts prepared by the help of subordinate staff with accounts department and company auditor, with regards to sales accounts
  • With other senior executives determining new designs and developments of new products to be launched in the markets
  • Attending managers and director’s weekly production management meetings

Strategy planning, Sales Concepts,  excellent People Management skills, Competitive Analysis, Good Customer relations and Great Client Relationships

Qualifications & Experience:

·         A degree in Marketing

·         Sound understanding of Marketing principles

·         Strong copywriting skills and ability to communicate complex ideas

·         Minimum 5 years’ experience Marketing activities

·         Strong administration and organizational skills

·         Passionate & aggressive
